I chose a 5 star rating because this book spoke to me and helped me, in someway, understand grief better. Grief is one of the hardest things we will face in this life and we are confronted by it over & over again. We have many losses that we grieve and each loss is personal and the grief we experience in each loss is different. Grief is not something we simply learn how to do and then just apply what we've learned in exactly the same way in each loss. If we learn any one thing to do, it would be to turn our eyes upon Jesus, give our loss and hurt to God!Product details

This book helps me comforting others and myself after losing loved ones..
This was an OK secular grief book. Since it is so broad based, only certain chapters are applicable to an individual loss.
As I pointed out in another review, I'm so happy to see RBC Ministries is beginning to introduce its Discovery Series resources in format. I hope they decide to publish all 200+ titles this way. These titles have been a tremendous blessing in my life. They have been great starting points for me in understanding various truths of the Chrisitan faith and life.
Are you grieving? Do you feel that you will never recover in this life from the loss that has come to you? Start with this book - Life After Loss - and with your Bible at hand. Warmth, wisdom and compassion come through the writing. The author understands loss, and he explains how Jesus understands too.
